cTrader trade copier for prop firms.

Running several prop firm accounts on cTrader? Here are the ways to get one trade onto all of them — and the rules that decide which ones are safe to use.

What prop firms usually allow

  • Copying between your own accounts is generally allowed, as long as you own every account and the trades are yours.
  • Copying other traders or a signal service is usually prohibited and can cost you every account involved.
  • Opposite positions across accounts — long on one, short on another — are banned at most firms.
  • Capital caps often count all accounts trading the same strategy together. FTMO’s is $400,000 per trader or strategy — see trading multiple FTMO accounts.
  • Tools: some firms allow local copiers but not cloud copiers, and the lists change. Check your firm’s current rules before connecting anything.

cTrader Copy

cTrader’s built-in Copy service is made for following strategy providers. It isn’t designed for mirroring your own prop accounts, and traders on the cTrader forum report that copies end up in a separate subscriber setup rather than in the prop account itself. Don’t use it for prop accounts unless your firm explicitly approves it.

cBot and cloud copiers

A copier watches a master account and repeats its trades on the others — either a cBot running in cTrader on your computer or VPS, or a cloud service connected through the cTrader Open API.

  • Hands-off once it runs, and the master can be traded from any app.
  • Lot sizes come from a ratio or multiplier you set per account, so it copies lots, not risk. Different account sizes and changing balances need constant adjustment.
  • Copies follow the master with a delay, and a copier that stops running stops copying.

Send one sized order to each account

Trade Governor isn’t a copier — there’s no master account. You draw the position on TradingView once, and it places a separate order on each selected cTrader account, all at the same stop-loss and take-profit.

  • Every account is sized from its own balance and risk per trade, so a $50k and a $200k account each risk the same percentage.
  • Each account has its own trade limit per day, week or month; once it’s used up, new orders on that account are blocked.
  • Nothing to keep running — orders go out when you click Send.
